The Wait Begins

Tonight my brother goes into lockdown, essentially falling off the family radar for an unknown timeframe. As hard as saying good-bye this weekend may have been, this is the time period that really frightens me. All the unknowns involved with this year will likely congeal in the next several weeks, as my brother gets settled into his duties. We don't know when we'll hear from him, where he'll be when we do, or what we'll find out. Waiting and the unknown -- my two favorites.
